The self-propelled trailer (SPT) resembles a typical trailer but features a motorized module at the front. SPTs are employed to transport oversized and excessively heavy loads beyond the capacity of a standard truck or low loader. A self-propelled conventional trailer can handle loads of up to 36 metric tons per axle line, inclusive of its own weight. Standard SPTs have a width of 3 meters and can be transported on a regular flatbed truck.
